Melissa Schwartz,
Associate Broker
Professional Realtor® since 1997!
Melissa Schwartz:
I was born and raised in Phoenix around the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix. My mother and grandmother were also members of UUCP. While we didn't’t go that often while I was growing up, the UU principles are very much a part of how my mother raised me. I have served on a variety of committees and the Board of Trustees over the last ten years. My oldest daughter is now the fourth generation of women from our family at UUCP! My youngest daughter is second generation at UUCP!
I received a Bachelors degree is Theatre Design from Occidental College in Los Angeles. After college, I worked for the City of LA as well as with public/private partnerships through a mixed-use development in downtown Los Angeles. In 1996, I returned to Arizona to care for my mother and received my Real Estate License in 1997 to supplement my income due to the limited arts administration jobs available in Phoenix! In 2005, I received my Arizona Real Estate Broker’s license.
With over twenty years in Arts Administration, I now focus all of my logistical, visual, technical, and detail oriented skills fully on Real Estate. Having negotiated contracts with large movie companies, artist’s agencies and handled numerous high profile entertainers both in Arizona and California, I am very comfortable negotiating with other Realtors on behalf of my clients. My attention to details allows my clients to rest comfortably that their transaction will be handled with the utmost care and diligence.
The creation of the UU Referral Network is a culmination of numerous conversations with UU’s in Arizona and around the Country. We have already learned a great deal about the Real Estate markets in different areas and how they are often incredibly diverse in both terminologies, cost and in housing conditions. We look forward to learning more and speaking with more UU’s and their friends as this system continues to grow.
I LOVE to golf, or read & play with my daughter every chance I get! I strongly believe we must support the community around us & annually contribute to the Booker T Washington Child Development Center, the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure, the Juvenile Diabetes Walk and Habitat for Humanity. In the spirit of supporting the UU Community, five percent of my UURN commissions will be donated to the UUA.

Hello everyone! I was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico and moved to Phoenix, Arizona about 6 years ago. I am a member the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix. Had I ever KNOWN about Unitarian Universalism I would have become a UU years ago!!! We (Melissa and I ) have two beautiful daughters that keep us on the go - and are the light of my life! Nothing is ever boring around here!

Desira Amiday,

6 years Real Estate
With over six years of Real Estate Experience, I am learning how to best serve clients and negotiate contracts. My specialties on this team are property searches, advertising, and ensuring inspections, Title Company requirements, repairs and paperwork are done on time with the emphasis on making things easy and transparent for our clients.
Originally from New Mexico, where I started in the military, I moved to Arizona in 2000. I am now retired after 20 years in the Air Force/Air National Guard. Real Estate is a great big door making it possible to meet new people and helping them to purchase a home or make a great investment.
I love to design web sites, motor cross and remodel homes in my spare time. Every year I support Booker T. Washington Headstart Program, the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure, and work on as many Habitat for Humanity homes as I can. In the spirit of supporting the UU Community, five percent of my UURN commissions will be donated to the UUA.
